If you want to secure admission into a good hotel management/hospitality management institute, you must crack relevant entrance exam. In India, hotel management entrance exams are held at national and state levels. Some colleges are known to conduct university/college level tests. Two such popular tests are – NCHMCT JEE and AIHMCT WAT.

    • If only cooking is your interest, you may go for Culinary arts course (BA in Culinary Arts or Bachelor of Catering Technology and Culinary Arts). If you want a generalized course, go for BHM.

    • Soumya, both fields are good. Suitability depends on your skills and aptitude. Most institutes follow merit based admission. They consider marks scored in board examination and / or state board exam. Few institutes give direct admission also. Some institutes do have their own private entrance test.

    • Pinki, you may approach a nearby institute offering BHM course and enquire about admission process. If there is entrance required to get admission, appear for it. Otherwise secure admission in BHM course based on your marks scored in 12th board examination.
