In this article, we will have an in-depth analysis of M.E./M.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering course. It is a PG course that relevant B.E./B.Tech. branch Graduates may pursue after completing their Bachelor’s Degree program. I have provided information such as- basic course details, course duration, eligibility criteria, important subjects, scope and job opportunities.
Students who are interested in a PG course that deals with computing, networking, software development and testing may choose this course. M.C.A., M.Sc. Computer Science etc are some alternates, but still, M.E./M.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering Degree is much more valuable!
Let us take a look at the basic course details, course structure and course duration-
M.E./M.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering: Basic course details
It is a 2 years long Post Graduate Level program. The 2 years’ duration is divided into 4 semesters, with each semester lasting a period of 6 months. During each semester, a student will have to face different sets of theoretical subjects as well as practical and experiment sessions associated with them. In case of the last two semesters, theoretical subjects are comparatively less, but project work and thesis will play an important role!
M.E./M.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering program revolves around concepts and topics such as- networking, Information Technology, Web Technology, Programming, Software Engineering, Logic and Algorithm etc. It can be observed that many of the above mentioned concepts were already present in B.E./B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering program. But in case of M.E./M.Tech. program, the study material is much more advanced and detailed.
To get a better idea about the course structure and nature of the course, I’ve assembled a list of some very important subjects present in M.E./M.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering course. Let us take a look at it-
