We use different types of software in our day to day lives! For example, the game that you are addicted to is a result of software engineering. The photo-editing app that you use is also a result of software engineering!   In short, software is being used for a variety of purposes ranging from gaming to R&D! It keeps us entertained, educates us, helps us lead a productive life etc. It is very difficult to imagine a life without all these productive software!   Software Engineers are the minds behind these software! In simple terms, software engineering is the application of a systematic, disciplined, quantifiable approach to the development, operation and maintenance of software. Software Engineers use programming languages to design and create software.   It is a very broad field and consists of sub-disciplines such as –
