1 AIBE

All India Bar Examination is conducted by the Bar Council of India. The application is available online and you can fill out the same and submit it before the due date. After you clear the exam, you will be awarded the ‘Certificate of Practice’ by the Bar Council of India.

 

Eligibility criteria:
  • The candidate must be of Indian origin.
  • They must have passed 3 or 5 years LLB degree from a reputed law institute.
  • No age limit and no minimum marks required.
  • They must have enrolled with their respective State Bar Council.

 

Syllabus:
  • Generally, topics include law and other relevant topics as prescribed in the official syllabus.
  • Major topics such as Constitutional Law, Company Law, Administrative Law, etc are also included.

 

Exam Pattern:
  • The exam is conducted in the offline mode. Each question has 4 options that need to be marked in the OMR sheet.
  • There are 100 questions that are of multiple choice question type.
  • There are 2 parts where category I subjects are included in Part 1 and Part II has category 2 subjects.
  • Exam duration is 3 hours and 30 minutes with no negative marking allotted for the wrong answer.

Eligibility criteria:
  • The candidate can be of Indian origin/NRI/NRI Sponsored.
  • No upper or lower age limit.
  • They must have passed 10+2 with 40% marks (SC/ST) and 45% for all others for UG courses.
  • For PG courses, they must have obtained 50% (SC/ST) and 55% for all other categories.

 

Syllabus:
  • The UG syllabus consists of four subjects mainly, Mathematics, Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning, General Knowledge and Current Affairs and English.
  • The PG syllabus has three sections and they are Jurisprudence, Constitutional Law and other subjects related to law.

 

Exam Pattern:
  • There is an online exam pattern held with 200 questions for PG courses and 150 multiple choice questions for PG courses.
  • Exam duration is 2 hours.

Integrated Law Courses:

  • The student must have passed the 12th board exam of CBSE or any other board with 45% marks which are mostly accepted by colleges.

 

UG Law Courses:

  • The student should hold a bachelor degree in any subject (trade) from any reputed college or university with 45% marks in the qualifying exam.

 

PG Law Courses:

  • To apply for PG courses, the student should have cleared UG or integrated law courses from any renowned college with 45% marks

 

Syllabus:
  • The exam pattern is comprised of 1 paper for analytical reasoning, 2 for logical reasoning, and 1 for reading comprehension.

  • The exam helps in the offline mode. There are four sections.
  • There is 100 multiple choice question for which candidates are given 2 hours 20 minutes time.

1 Delhi University

The varsity conducts entrance test for admitting candidates into various courses offered by it and it is termed as DU LLB/LLM Entrance Test. Both are conducted on separate dates, though. The application is generally available in June. The English language is the medium of the test.

 

Eligibility criteria:
  • No age limit is there.
  • The candidate must have passed graduation with 40% marks (SC/ST) and 50% for all others.
  • If the candidate has a PG degree, he/she can also appear for the examination.

 

Syllabus:
  • The syllabus consists of subjects like Arithmetic, Legal awareness and aptitude, reasoning and Analytical Abilities, Logical Reasoning, General Knowledge and Current Affairs and English Language and Comprehension.

 

Exam Pattern:
  • The candidates are needed to answer the multiple choice question on the optical mark recognition sheet.
  • The duration is 2 hours and there are 4 marks credited for every correct answer and 1 marks deducted for every wrong answer.

The university offers diploma, UG, PG and research courses and is the famous university in Uttar Pradesh. Law Admission Test (LAT), LLM and LFAT (LAW Five year Integrated Course Admission Test) are organized every year.

  • The candidate must be Indian.
  • The lower age limit is 20 years for general and OBC and 22 years for Sc and ST as on the date of application of that particular year. It is only for LFAT candidates.
  • They must have passed 3 years law course with 40% marks (SC/ST) and 45% for all others to appear for LAT.
  • For LFAT, they must have obtained 45% (SC/ST) and 55% for all other categories in their 10+2 examination.

 

Syllabus:
  • The LAT syllabus consists of subjects mainly from their undergrad subjects itself.
  • The LFAT syllabus has sections from class 11 and 12 subjects.

 

Exam Pattern:
  • The exam is conducted in both offline and online mode.
  • There will be 2 hours to answer 200 questions.

  • Only an Indian national can apply.
  • The lower age limit is 21 years for all categories as on the date of application of that particular year. It is only for BA LLB/BBA LLB/B.Sc LLB candidates.
  • They must have cleared 10+2 with 45% marks in any trade and 45% in Science for all others who choose to appear for B.Sc LLB.
  • For LLM, they must have obtained 55% in any bachelor’s degree or must have qualified BA LLB/ BBA LLB/ B.Sc LLB.

 

Syllabus:
  • For candidates who wish to join the bachelor’s courses (BA LLB/BBA LLB/B.Sc LLB), the syllabus is mainly the subjects from your 10+2.

  • The candidate can be of Indian origin/NRI/NRI Sponsored.

  • For both BA LLB and BBA LLB, the candidate must have passed 10+2 with 40% marks (SC/ST) and 45% (General/OBC).
  • Candidates awaiting class 12 results can also take the exam, provided they produce their pass certificate during admission.

The Faculty of Law in Delhi University conducts this exam for admission of candidates into LLB courses for three years.  It is usually organized in June after the candidates have passed their respective class 12 exams.

  • The candidate can be of Indian origin/NRI/NRI Sponsored.
  • No upper age limit.
  • He/she must possess a graduation from DU or any other reputed organization.
  • Minimum marks for general is 50%, fir OBC is 45% and for SC/ST is 40%
  • Final year candidates are also eligible to apply.

  • The application has to be made online. Under no circumstances, will an offline application be accepted by the authority.
  • Register yourself on the concerned website with a valid email id, phone number, and a secure password.
  • You have to upload your scanned photos of your passport size photo and signature.
