Science stream is a very popular choice among Indian students. This stream leads to careers in sectors such as – engineering, medicine, science, civil services, law, education etc.  

  The course one pursues after 12th science plays an important role in determining his/her career. If you choose the wrong course, you may have to spend the rest of your life doing a job that you don’t like!   In short, finding and pursuing the right course is of utmost importance. Through this article, I will help you choose a good course! This article has been crafted keeping the needs of students who don’t want to have maths subject!   I’ve listed down some such popular courses here. • Mathematics group (PCM)
• Biology group (PCB)

There also exists a third group – PCMB!   Most of the mathematics group professional courses have mathematics subject! Many Biology group courses don’t have mathematics subject! I’ve tried to list popular and relevant courses belonging to both of the above mentioned groups.   Here’s the list of courses –

List of Courses After 12th Science Without Mathematics

1 BBA

BBA stands for Bachelor of Business Administration. It is a job oriented management course. Students who have passed 12th standard (any stream) are eligible to pursue this course.   There are two types of BBA programs available in India – general BBA and specialization programs. General BBA deals with core management subjects. Specialization program covers core management subjects and domain-specific subjects.   It is an undergraduate level Bachelor’s Degree course. The academic program is 3 years long. After completing BBA, one may pursue Master’s Degree programs such as MBA, MMS and PG Diploma programs.

2 BMS

BMS stands for Bachelor of Management Studies. It is a job oriented management course. Students who have passed 12th standard (any stream) are eligible to pursue this course.   It is an undergraduate level Bachelor’s Degree course. The academic program is 3 years long. After completing BMS, one may pursue Master’s Degree programs such as MBA, MMS and PG Diploma programs.

3 Diploma in Management

It is a job oriented Diploma course. Technically, it is a management program. But it is not as detailed or as valued as Bachelor’s Degree programs like BBA and BMS.   Students who have passed 12th standard in any stream are eligible to pursue this course. Since it is a Diploma course, the course content is not as detailed as Degree programs!

4 BSW

BSW stands for Bachelor of Social Work. It is an undergraduate level Bachelor’s Degree course. This academic program deals with social work.   The academic program is 3 years long. Students who have passed 12th standard (any stream) are eligible to pursue this course.

5 B.Pharm.

B.Pharm. stands for Bachelor of Pharmacy. It is an undergraduate level Bachelor’s Degree course. The academic program is 4 years long.   This course deals with pharmacy subject. Students who have passed 10+2 Science stream are eligible to pursue this course.

6 Pharm D

Pharm D stands for Doctor of Pharmacy. It is a Doctoral level program related to pharmacy. The academic program is 6 years long. Students who have passed 12th science stream are eligible to pursue this course.

13 BAMS

BAMS stands for Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery. Students who have passed 12th Science with PCB subjects are eligible to pursue this course. This course deals with the study of ayurvedic system of medicine.   The academic program is 5.5 years long. It includes 1 year long internship stint.

14 BHMS

BHMS stands for Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery. Students who have passed 12th Science with PCB subjects are eligible to pursue this course. This course deals with the study of homeopathic system of medicine.   The academic program is 5.5 years long. It includes 1 year long internship stint.

15 BPT

BPT stands for Bachelor of Physiotherapy. It is a job oriented undergraduate level program. The academic program is 4.5 years long.   Students who have passed 12th Science with PCB subjects are eligible to pursue this course. The course consists of classroom lectures and practical training.

16 BOT

BOT stands for Bachelor of Occupational Therapy. It is a job oriented course. Students who have passed 12th Science with PCB subjects are eligible to pursue this course.

17 BASLP

BASLP stands for Bachelor of Audiology Speech Language Pathology. Students who have passed 12th Science with PCB subjects are eligible to pursue this course.   The academic program is 5 years long (including internship). It deals with topics such as – hearing disorders, speech therapy, hearing equipment etc.

18 BUMS

BUMS stands for Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery. This program deals with the Unani system of medicine, healing and surgery. Students who have passed 12th Science with PCB subjects are eligible to pursue this course.   The entire program is 5.5 years long. It includes an year long internship stint.

19 BA Courses
