Air India Limited is going to recruit Pilots. They require Senior Trainee Pilots with A-320 Endorsement. Air India has 534 Sr. Trainee Pilot vacancy and they are inviting Applications from eligible candidates in 2016 to fill up these vacant posts. Air India Sr. Trainee Pilot post vacancy and reservation status

  • Total of 534 vacant posts are available
  • Out of the total, 209 posts are available for General category applicants
  • 74 posts have been reserved for SC applicants

Minimum educational qualification required

Applicant should be 10+2 passed from a recognized Board.

 

Licence & Technical qualifications required

  • Applicant must possess current CPL/ATPL issued by DGCA, India
  • Applicant must possess Class-1 Medical Certificate issued by DGCA, India
  • Applicant must possess current FRTO issued by DGCA, India
  • Applicant must possess current ELP on CPL/ATPL
  • Applicant must possess valid A-320 Endorsement on Indian CPL/ATPL
  • Instrument rating on A-320 Aircraft on Indian CPL/ATPL, issued by DGCA, India
  • Current RTR (A)/ RTR (P)/ RTR (C) issued by WPC, Ministry of Communication, India

Age Limit

General Upper age limit is of 35 years. For SC and ST applicants, Upper age limit is 40 years. It is 38 years for OBC applicants.

How to apply?

  • Candidates may check out the website- www.airindia.in/careers.htm. On the site, they will find application form
  • Candidates may download the application form or type the form in that format
  • Form has to be filled up, providing all the required details, a passport sized photo pasted and signed
  • Along with the form, one has to place a Demand Draft of 3000 Rupees, in favour of Air India Limited, payable at Delhi. SC, ST and Ex. Servicemen applicants won’t have to go through the DD process
  • Applicant also has to place photocopies of certificates and testimonials to verify and prove their- date of birth, educational and technical qualifications, experience, licence/endorsement, logbook and caste certificate (for SC, ST and OBC applicants only)
  • The form, DD and certificates must be placed in an envelope. The envelope must be super-scribed- “Application for the Post of Senior Trainee Pilot (P2) with A-320 Endorsement”

Selection Process

  1. First of all, the applications will be checked thoroughly. Eligible candidates will be called to appear for the qualifying process- Psychometric Test
  2. Candidates who qualify this stage are then supposed to appear for Simulator Proficiency Assessment Check (SPAC) on an A-320 simulator at Central Training Establishment, Air India Limited, Hyderabad. 25,000 Rupees, the cost of Simulator Test, will have to be borne by the applicant. They will have to submit a DD payable to Air India Limited, Hyderabad before undergoing SPAC
  3. Candidates who manage to clear SPAC have a chance to feature on the final merit list. Merit list is based on marks scored in SPAC
