Do you want to pursue a management course right after completing the 12th standard? If yes, this article will be of help to you. I’ve provided vital details about BBA MBA integrated course in this article. The article covers topics like course details, duration, eligibility criteria, admission process, career prospects and salary details.

Very Important: AICTE has ordered institutes offering five years long BBA MBA integrated courses to stop giving admission to students from academic year 2016-17 onward. AICTE has effectively ordered institutes operating under its umbrella to stop offering this course!

AICTE-approved integrated BM/BAM/MAM courses have been shut down, thanks to AICTE’s ruling. Students already studying these courses have been taken care of by AICTE.

Students who are already studying the course have few options available in front of them, thanks to AICTE. Students who are in the 4th or 5th year may complete the program, and they will be awarded dual degrees! Students who are in 1st or 2nd year may complete three years course and drop out, and they will be awarded BBA Degree! However, new admissions won’t be entertained from the 2016-17 academic year onward.

Few UGC-approved institutes whose academic program satisfies the guidelines set by UGC (for BBA MBA integrated course) are still offering this dual degree course. Such institutes claim that they remain unaffected by the AICTE ruling since their academic program is set per the guidelines provided by the UGC!

Keeping these facts in mind, students are advised to enquire about the institute’s status and the course’s validity before taking admission!

BBA + MBA is an integrated course. It is a dual degree in nature. The main advantage of pursuing this course is that students stand the chance to earn two degrees while enrolling for admission once!

MBA has always been the best management degree available in India. But MBA is a PG course. Naturally, students can’t pursue this course right after completing 12th standard. They would have to complete an undergraduate Bachelor’s Degree course first and then apply for MBA admission.

Since the BBA MBA Integrated course is a dual degree in nature, students can pursue it right after the 12th! They have to take admission only once, and by the end of the course, they’d have also earned the PG Degree of MBA!

As mentioned before, the course is a dual degree in nature. It is essentially a management education program. In cases of most of the institutes offering this course, the program focuses on ‘general management’ studies. However, some institutes are also known to offer specializations (during the MBA phase).

The program covers general management studies subjects like –

  • HR Management.
  • Finance Management.
  • Business Laws.
  • Information Technology.
  • Organizational Behavior.
  • Communication Skills.
  • Operations Management.

In the case of a specialization program, students get to choose their major and minor specialization from the list of disciplines mentioned above (and even more disciplines out there).
