Indian Overseas Bank missed call balance enquiry number

Indian Overseas Bank customers have been visiting Apnahangout to obtain the Bank’s missed call balance enquiry number. We have already listed missed call numbers of main Banks operating in India. In this post, I will mention procedures using which IOB customers may check their account balance using their mobile phone, just by making a missed call!

Checking Indian Overseas Bank account balance using missed call service

Dial the number- 04442220004 using your registered mobile number. After a few rings, the call will get cut automatically. The Bank will then respond with account balance details via SMS.

 

Important point-

The mobile number used for making the missed call must be registered with the bank (for mobile banking service). Before making call, make sure that the number is registered with the bank!

 

Registering mobile number

If you haven’t registered your mobile yet with the bank, then approach the home branch, ask for the mobile banking application form, fill it and submit it there. After a review of the details, mobile banking service will be activated and your number will be registered.

 

If you already have registered but still can’t make use of this service, you should probably start the migration process. Just send the message– ‘ACT (space) Your Account Number’ to the number- +919551099007 from the already registered number. This will migrate the number and help you again make use of the missed call balance enquiry service as well as other mobile banking services!

 

Extra tips

If you successfully register for IOB’s mobile banking service, you may also check account balance, get mini statement, transfer funds and perform other similar tasks using- USSD code (*99#)/APP/WAP site of bank!

 

Though the above mentioned facilities are available in front of Indian Overseas Bank customers, the easiest way to check account balance is via missed call service.

    I been block and they asking card number pin expiring date I am not going to give all that detail so can you let me log in please

  2. After having filled up the form for registering the mobile number twice at the bank, I am still not receiving any messages. Previously I was receiving the messages on my mobile number but since last 2-3 months it has stopped and I am not able to keep a track of my transactions, especially while purchasing through IOB debit card. I have met personally, called on phone to resolve the matter but nothing is done. Now I am finally putting it up here seeking solution. This is really troublesome.

    • Radhika, I’m not representing the Bank. I just published the information. Anyway, what did the officials say? Is more than one account linked with your number?

    Sir, I have open an iob account in qatar,and I have also resisted my qatar mobile number. Then I opened iob mpassbook, it also responded.but unfortunately this software delete, now I again download this software, but now it is not registering,please help me I am so sad.

    I have lost my previous contact number thru which i used to get the update of my IOB account details now i want the details of my account whether its in active or in active status because i have done any transaction from past many months.Kindly let me know what has to be done to the below mentioned mail id.

    • Navya, you must register your new number with the bank then. Please approach the home branch of your bank and provide them the details.

    • Rakesh, are you unable to login? You are already registered I guess. That’s why it is not registering again using the same credentials.

  6. I withdrawn 10000 on 7/2/2016 at sbi alandur branch but transaction is rejected. The amt is debited in my a/c. How i want to credited the above amt to my a/c
