How to apply for CDS 2 exam 2013 on upsconline.nic.in [NOINDEX]

CDS (Combined Defence Services) exam is an entrance exam conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) for graduates who want to join the armed forces- Army, Navy or Air Force. This article will be helpful to graduates who want to appear for CDS 2 exam. The CDS 2 forms are now available online at www.upsconline .nic.in.

The forms of CDS 2 have been available online since 25th May 2013 online. The official site for applying is www.upsconline.nic.in. This is the only site where you may apply for CDS 2. There are no other sites for this purpose. The last date of submission of CDS 2 forms online is 24th June 2013.

The registration process is very easy and hassle free online. The registration process of CDS 2 exam is divided into two parts- part 1 and part 2.

Part 1 registration of CDS 2 exam

Part 1 is all about your basic information. You will be asked to fill in details like-

• Name
• Gender
• Date of Birth
• Father’s name
• Mother’s name
• Nationality
• Marital status
• Educational qualification
• Address
• E-mail address
• Contact number

After filling the necessary details, you will be asked to press ‘continue’ button. You must check for mistakes before pressing the ‘confirm’ button. Once you press the ‘confirm’ button, no changes can be made again to the information you entered.

After completion of part 1 registration, you will be provided with a registration id. Now, it is time to deal with CDS 2 part 2 registration. On the same site upsconline.nic.in, just by the side of part 1 registration, you will find the link to part 2 registration.

Part 2 registration of CDS 2 exam

When you click on the link for part 2 registration, you will be asked to enter the registration id that they just provided you. On filling it, you will be taken to the part 2 process.

In part 2, you have to upload your passport size photo’s scanned version and your signature specimen. Both these files should be of the dimension 110*140 pixels. The size of each file should be less than 40kb and must be in JPG format. Note that the signature specimen should be clear one.

Next step- payment

The next step of CDS 2 exam registration is payment of registration fee. The amount is 200 rupees. There are various modes of payment available. You may pay the amount at SBI (State Bank of India) branches. Better yet, use net banking and pay securely and comfortably.

After payment has been confirmed, you will be asked to enter details like your preferred exam centre etc. You will receive an e-mail regarding your submission of form.
