Assam CEE is a state level entrance test. The test is conducted by ASTU each year. The main aim of this test is to facilitate admission of eligible candidates into UG level engineering programs in state colleges in Assam.

Assam CEE 2023 Eligibility Criteria

In order to be considered eligible to appear for Assam CEE, one must satisfy certain requirements. These requirements are both academic and non-academic in nature.

 

Non-academic conditions include – age limit, nationality and domicile certificate. Academic conditions include – educational qualification and minimum aggregate marks required. Let us take a closer look at these factors –

 

Age limit

• Minimum age: Candidate must be at least 17 years old (as on 1st August, 2023).
• Upper age limit: 21 years.
• Upper age limit is relaxed by 3 years for SC/ST candidates.
• Upper age limit is relaxed by 1 year for B.Sc. graduates.

 

Nationality and domicile

• Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply for this test.
• Permanent residents of Assam are eligible to apply for this test.

 

Educational qualification

• Minimum educational qualification required is – completed 12th Science with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English subjects from AHSEC or possess equivalent qualification.
• Minimum aggregate marks required is – 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (combined). For SC category candidates, aggregate marks required is 45%. For ST category candidates, aggregate marks required is 40%.

Candidates may apply for Assam CEE online. Application process is fairly simple. Here are important dates related to this event –

1. Visit the official website of Assam CEE.
2. Search for Assam CEE registration option.
3. Register by entering your basic details (name, email id, mobile number etc).
4. After registration, candidates may choose to proceed with form-filling process.
5. Fill up the application process by providing personal, academic and category details.
6. Candidates are required to upload scanned image of their passport size photograph and signature specimen.
7. Pay application fee.
8. Submit the application form and take printout for further use/reference.

Assam CEE 2023 Syllabus & Exam Pattern

Assam CEE is a pen and paper based test. The test consists of three main sections –

1. Physics
2. Chemistry
3. Mathematics

 

The total duration of this test is 3 hours. Objective type questions will be asked in the paper. Questions are derived from class 11th and 12th syllabus (AHSEC). Come, let us take a closer look at each section –

 

Syllabus

• Physics: Units and measurement, laws of motion, oscillations and waves, electromagnetic waves, electromagnetic induction, solids and fluids, current electricity, semiconductor devices, thermodynamics, work, energy and power, optics etc.
• Chemistry: Atomic structure, chemical reactions, chemical equilibrium, chemical bonds, transition metals, thermodynamics, chemical kinematics, polymers, alcohols, ethers, phenols, surface chemistry etc.
• Mathematics: Integral calculus, differential calculus, sets, matrices and determinants, probability, statistics, vector algebra, geometry, trigonometry, complex numbers, functions, permutations and combinations etc.

Assam CEE 2023 Admit Card

Assam CEE admit card contains the following details –

• Name of the candidate

Candidates must bring their admit card to the exam center while going to appear for Assam CEE test. Without valid admit card, they won’t be allowed to enter the exam hall/center.

3. Enter your credentials and click on submit button.
4. Your result will be displayed on screen.

ASTU is also known to release merit list along with the result. Result declaration is followed by counseling and admission process.

 

Assam CEE 2023 Counseling & Admission

Assam CEE counseling process will be carried out over multiple rounds. Seats will be distributed among deserving candidates on the basis of their performance in the merit list. Counseling process will be carried offline.
