My favorite sport is football. I’m a member of my local amateur football club. Each week, we have training sessions as well as matches with other amateur clubs in the neighborhood. On the field, I’m a forward. And my favorite footballer is also a world-class forward. He is none other than the Argentine Paulo Dybala.
This essay is on the topic – my favorite sportsperson. My favorite sport is football and my favorite footballer is Paulo. Naturally, he is my favorite sportsperson. And this essay is dedicated to the talented Paulo Dybala.
As I mentioned before, I play football for my local amateur club. I’ve been playing football ever since I was a kid. My father would take me to the local park where we’d kick the ball around. Gradually, I made friends in my neighborhood and we started playing football at the park. Then we decided to join the local club and improve our game.
Apart from playing football, I also enjoy watching it. I have a smartphone and internet connectivity. It makes it possible for me to follow football easily. Thanks to the internet and online streaming services, I’m able to follow my favorite leagues such as – Serie A, EPL, La Liga, MLS etc.
My favorite domestic league is Serie A. It is Italy’s top flight of competitive football. And my favorite team is Juventus. In 2015, Juventus signed this young forward from Palermo. Earlier, I had seen him play for Palermo. And he was quite good at Palermo.
So I was very happy with my favorite club signed Paulo Dybala from Palermo. In his first season at Juventus, he scored 23 goals in all competitions. In his first season, he showed the world what he is capable of achieving.
Dybala is one of the most talented forwards in the modern game. On the field, he is very versatile. He can do any of the following positions or roles – winger, striker, attacking midfielder, or even midfielder. Yes, on some occasions, he has even been used as an attacking-minded box-to-box midfielder.
His footballing qualities include – pace, ball control, dribbling, tactical awareness, powerful and accurate shots, link-up play, stamina, strength, defensive work rate, passing (long and short), creativity, intelligence, etc.
Since he possesses a wide range of qualities, he is a very dangerous forward for opponents. He is capable of running at them with the ball and beating them with pace and trickery. He also has good intuition. As a result, he is able to catch defenders by surprise (with his advanced movements) and break their composure. He is a very hard-working player who gives it his all on the field. When his team loses the ball, he doesn’t hesitate to track back and put pressure on the opposition (and help his team win back the ball).
Okay, let us talk about his early career and life now. Paulo Dybala was born in Cordoba, Argentina. He began his career at the local club Instituto Atletico Central Cordoba. Young Dybala was very talented indeed. Soon, he was signed by the Italian club Palermo.
At Palermo, he was a joy to watch. He thrilled fans through his dribbles, amazing speed, and stunning goals. With time, he outgrew the club. And he was signed by Juventus. At the international level, he represents the Argentina team.
At a very young age, Paulo Dybala won titles, trophies, and numerous personal accolades. As of now, he has won the Serie A title five times, Coppa Italia five times, and Supercoppa Italiana six times. Apart from that, he has also won many individual honors.
Despite achieving so much at such a young age, Paulo Dybala is humble and grounded. He believes in constant learning and improvement. He is keen on improving each season and determined to take his game and team to the next level.
