My favorite sport is basketball. I’ve grown up watching basketball, golf, football, and volleyball. But my favorite one is basketball. Naturally, my favorite sportsperson is a basketball player. He is none other than the gifted Serbian – Nikola Jokic.

Yes, I will also provide details about his career. But I won’t delve deep into his statistics. On the court, Nikola Jokic’s position is the center. As of now, he is playing for the NBA team Denver Nuggets. At six feet and eleven inches, he is a towering figure on the court.
He has excellent vision. Sometimes, it feels as if he is able to predict what is going to happen on the court in the next few seconds. His vision is so great that he is capable of setting up his teammates in scoring positions consistently. It is one of his qualities that attracted me a lot.
I play basketball regularly. And I understand that setting up teammates for scores is as important as scoring points! His no-look passes are quite popular among fans and spectators. His vision and tactical awareness are on another level altogether. He has a unique and effective passing technique. He relies on his unique technique to deliver amazing and effective passes.
Let us talk about his early life and career now. Nikola Jokic was born in Serbia. Since his early childhood, little Nikola was into basketball. He would play basketball with his elder brothers. He was able to hone his skills and technique while playing against his brothers.
With time, he joined the youth setup of Vojvodina Srbijagas. He further developed his game and technique at the club. This molded him into an exceptional player at the club. Gradually, he began attracting attention from bigger clubs in the country.

His next destination was Mega Basket, who signed him from his previous club. With Mega Basket, he was able to further hone his skills. He managed to impress coaches, fans, and spectators through his consistent performances.
He was so good that he even won the Adriatic League Regular Season MVP title. His next big move came when he was signed by NBA side Denver Nuggets. As of now, he is still playing for them. His crowning moment at Denver Nuggets came when he was declared the NBA Most Valuable Player in 2021.
At the international level, he plays for the Serbian men’s team. From a humble background, Nikola Jokic has managed to achieve fame, money, and appreciation. Yes, his talent did play a huge role in his career. But at the highest level, talent alone can’t guarantee results!
Nikola Jokic is a hard-working guy. He constantly works in improving his game. It is evident from the practice sessions. He takes his practice sessions seriously. He believes in improving his skills and game each day. This is the main reason why I admire him. The NBA is full of world-class stars and superstars. But Nikola is my favorite player due to his attitude and work ethic.
