People these days are getting more and more focused on health. Giving attention to one’s health and leading a healthy lifestyle is a good thing, to be honest! While this trend of awareness about healthy lifestyle has developed, there has been a surge in demand for professional trainers. Large numbers of people have taken resort of Yoga, in a bid to improve their health and lifestyle. Due to this, demand for qualified Yoga instructors has increased in India (and abroad). In this article, you will be reading about Yoga education courses. On completing any one of the courses mentioned here, one will be eligible to work as Yoga instructor.

All of this started when I wrote and published an article about Diploma in Yoga education course. After reading details about that course, people have been asking me to list even more Yoga courses! So, here it is! I’ve created a list in this article.

 

Yoga education courses

Basically, courses can be divided into three formats-

  • Certificate
  • Diploma
  • Bachelor’s Degree

 

Certificate courses are of short duration. They typically last between 3-6 months. Of course, there exist some certificate courses, which are of longer duration.

 

Diploma courses are more valuable than certificate courses. Typical Diploma in Yoga Education course lasts for a period of 1 year.

 

Bachelor’s Degree courses are the best among all. They are detailed programs. At the end of it, successful graduates will be awarded a Bachelor’s Degree! Duration is 3 years.

Eligibility: Certificate courses can be pursued after 10th as well as 10+2. When it comes to Diploma in Yoga Education and Bachelor’s Degree courses, having passed 10+2 (in any stream) is necessary.

 

Careers

After completing the course, one may work as a Yoga instructor at fitness centres, rehabilitation clinics, schools/colleges, training centres, health clubs etc.

 

After completing B.Sc. in Yoga Therapy, one may get involved in healthcare sector too! Yoga therapy professionals are hired by hospitals for rehabilitation and recovery of patients suffering from physical as well as mental problems.

 

One may also set up own Yoga class and train others, charging them a fees for your services.

  1. i could not find any college or univerwity for ba in yoga.Plz help me.I have searched a lot but some are not offering ba only short courses they are offering.Mention plz with last dates of admissions????
