Labour Welfare: An Introduction
In simple terms, labour welfare is anything done for the intellectual, physical, moral and economic betterment of workers. It is commonly done by employers, Government, NGOs and other agencies. In India, working conditions of blue-collar workers are not very encouraging (in many cases). In some cases, the work place is full of occupational hazard! In some other cases, the pay and allowances are not just enough. At some places, the working conditions and hours are just insane!
