B.Tech. CSE (Cloud Computing): Basic Details
B.Tech. stands for Bachelor of Technology. It is a Bachelor’s Degree course. Technically, it is an engineering education program. This program belongs to the academic level known as UG level. UG stands for undergraduate level.
CSE stands for Computer Science Engineering. In other words, this is an undergraduate level computer engineering program. But this academic program is different from regular CS course! This is a specialization program!
As the name suggests, this program will help you specialize in the domain of cloud computing. What it cloud computing all about, you may ask. Here is everything you need to know about this domain –
In simple terms, cloud computing is the on-demand availability of computer system resources without active management by the user. Cloud computing especially deals with on-demand data storage and computing power.
In other words, it deals with using a network of remote servers (hosted on the internet) to store, manage and process data. Cloud computing thrives and relies on the sharing of resources over the internet.
Let us consider a real life example. We normally store important files on a local server or personal computer. In order to access the files, we’d need access to the server of computer in the first place. It means that if we don’t have access to the server or system, we won’t be able to open the files! While traveling to a remote place, we’d have to carry the personal computer or forget about accessing the file!
This is where cloud computing comes handy! Cloud computing deals with remote servers, which are hosted on the internet. These servers can be accessed from any device remotely, using the internet! If we store our files on such remote servers, we may access, edit or process them from any part of the world! In short, cloud computing provides computing power to the user, without the need of direct active management by the user!
Cloud computing technology is growing at a rapid pace across the world. This technology has applications in areas such as – business, computing, IT services, telecommunication, healthcare, governance, banking etc.
B.Tech. CSE (Cloud Computing) course will train you in different areas of cloud computing. The program will train you in areas such as – cloud computing, cloud infrastructure, relevant software, virtualization, modeling and analysis, deployment, applications, cloud services etc.
