It is a 4 years long Undergraduate Level Bachelor’s Degree program. The 4 years’ duration is divided into 8 semesters, with each semester lasting a period of 6 months. During each semester, students have to face separate sets of theoretical subjects as well as practical lab sessions.

Eligibility Criteria
10+2 Science stream students with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology subjects, who have passed 12th board examination from a recognized board are eligible to pursue this course. Thus, both Mathematics and Biology group students are eligible to pursue this Engineering program!
Minimum marks criteria may exist, varying from one institute to another. Generally, it is between 40-50% marks. Students must also have appeared for state level entrance examination to be considered eligible to take part in admission process.

- M.E./M.Tech. Biomedical Engineering/Biomedical Instrumentation/Biochemical Engineering/Biotechnology or other relevant branches of specialization.
- M.B.A. program.
Scope, Salary and Job opportunities
Healthcare, Pharmaceutical and Healthcare equipment manufacturing sectors are the prime recruiters. Government agencies such as Drugs Department, State wise Health Departments are also known to recruit B.E./B.Tech. Biomedical Engineering Graduates. Average starting salary is generally between 3-6 Lakh Rupees per year. Chances of building a career abroad after Graduation is good, when it comes to this Engineering branch. Abroad, salary package will be much better in comparison to the figure mentioned above.
