Foundation programme is the first step towards CS career for 12th passed students! Here, you will find everything you need to know about the programme – eligibility, registration, syllabus, fees, exams and important dates.

Before heading to the meat of the matter – CS Foundation programme – let us check out some basic details about the whole CS program. Here we go –   CS course can be divided into three stages –

• Foundation programme
• Executive programme
• Professional programme

You must qualify professional stage exams and complete 15 months management training in order to become an ACS (Associate Company Secretary).   Before you may reach professional stage, you must complete executive programme! Executive programme can be pursued by Bachelor’s Degree holders (except Fine Arts).   Unless you are a Bachelor’s Degree holder, you must take a shot at foundation programme and quality the relevant exams!   Let us take a closer look at foundation programme details. Eligibility

Minimum educational qualification required is – 10+2 passed in Arts, Commerce or Science stream (excluding fine arts) or equivalent.

Admission 2022

Admission to CS course is open throughout the year. Examinations and held twice a year in June and December.   Here are the important admission cut-off dates –

• Foundation Programme: 31st March for appearing in December Examination in the same year & 30th September for June Examination next year.

Syllabus

Foundation programme consists of 4 papers. They are –

• Business Environment and Law
• Business Management, Ethics and Entrepreneurship
• Business Economics
• Fundamentals of Accounting and Auditing

Fees

Foundation programme costs 4500 INR.

Exam Dates 2022

CS examination is conducted twice a year in June and December. The last date for submission of exam application form is –

• 25th March (with late fee of Rs. 250/- till 9th April) [for exam in June]
• 25th September (with late fee of Rs. 250/- till 10th October) [for exam in December]

1200 INR for Foundation Programme exam.
