What is an integrated law course?

An integrated law course consists of two Degree programs that are combined to form a single academic program. Technically, it is a Master’s Degree course! Yes, LL.B. stands for Bachelor of Law. But don’t let this name fool you! It is not a Bachelor’s Degree course! It is a Master’s Degree course.   You can apply for LL.B. admission only after completing Bachelor’s Degree course! It means that 12th pass students can’t directly apply for LL.B. right after schooling.   This is where integrated law programs come handy! These programs combine two Degrees together. As a result, even 12th pass students are eligible to apply for admission.   BA LL.B., B.Sc. LL.B., BBA LL.B. – these are examples of integrated law courses. The course duration is 5 years. Students hailing from any stream – arts, commerce or science – are eligible to apply for admission.   BSW LL.B. course consists of two Degrees – BSW and LL.B. Let us take a closer look at them –
