Types of veterinary science courses
B.V.Sc. is the most popular veterinary science course in Himachal Pradesh. It is an undergraduate level Bachelor’s Degree course. Students who have passed 12th Science with PCB subjects are eligible to pursue this course.
After completing B.V.Sc., candidates may go for M.V.Sc. course. It stands for Master of Veterinary Science. It is a Master’s Degree course.
If you want to secure admission into any of the college mentioned above, you must crack relevant entrance exam. Such entrance exams are conducted to facilitate merit based admission process.
Under merit based admission process, seats are distributed among deserving candidates on the basis of their performance in relevant entrance test and/or board exam.
Career prospects
If you want to become a veterinarian in India, you must possess at least B.V.Sc. Degree. After obtaining this Degree, a candidate may start his/her veterinary practice.
