Types of pharmacy colleges

There exist two main types of pharmacy colleges in Uttar Pradesh. They are –

  • Government pharmacy colleges.
  • Private pharmacy colleges.

Government colleges are managed and funded by the State Government. The relevant department of the State Government takes care of such institutes’ administrative, funding, recruitment, and admission activities. These colleges charge low tuition fees.

Private medical colleges are managed and funded by private charitable trusts and organizations. These colleges charge relatively higher tuition fees.

Admission process

In order to bag a Government or merit seat, one must crack the relevant entrance exam. A merit list is prepared on the basis of students’ performance in relevant entrance exams and/or board exams. Based on this list, seats are distributed among deserving candidates.
