Under this process, seats are allotted to eligible and deserving candidates on the basis of their performance in the relevant entrance exams and/or board examination.
In other words, relevant entrance exams are conducted to facilitate the admission process. All government colleges and reputed private institutes follow merit based admission process. On the other hand, many private colleges have few seats reserved under the management quota. Seats coming under this quota are allotted through a donation-based admission process.
