Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Admission Process
The admission process may vary from one institute to another. In order to secure admission into a good college, one must go through the merit-based admission process. Under this process, seats are distributed among deserving and eligible candidates on the basis of their performance in relevant selection tests and/or interviews.
These entrance tests/exams/procedures are conducted each year by relevant selection authorities. Candidates must get themselves registered for a merit-based selection process.
In order to get into a government or good private nursing college, one must go through the merit-based admission process. However, the admission process may vary from one college to another. Some colleges have different modes of admission such as – direct and donation-based admission processes.
Fees
Tuition fees vary from one college to another. It depends upon factors such as – type of college (government or private), scholarship status of the applicant, rating of the college, etc. Government nursing colleges provide subsidized education to their students. Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Course Details
In simple terms, it is a B.Sc. Nursing program. But this program has been crafted keeping the needs of GNM passed candidates in mind. The course duration is 2 years.
The regular B.Sc. The nursing program is 4 years long. Candidates who have passed 12th Science with PCB subjects are eligible to pursue the regular B.Sc. Nursing program. On the other hand, Post Basic B.Sc. The nursing program is just 2 years long. Candidates who have passed the GNM course from a recognized institute are eligible to pursue this course.
The academic program deals with topics such as – medical ethics, communication skills, human anatomy and physiology, biochemistry, surgical nursing, nutrition, pharmacology, mental health nursing, etc.

Post Basic B.Sc. The nursing program is 2 years long.
