MDS Admission in Madhya Pradesh

MDS admission process may vary from one college to another. Before diving into the admission process, let us make sure whether you are eligible to apply for admission or not!

If you want to apply for MDS admission, you must fulfill certain requirements. First of all, you must have completed a BDS course from a recognized university or institute. You must be registered with the relevant State Dental Council. You must also have completed the internship stint after completing the course.

If you are eligible, you may apply for MDS admission. The admission process may vary from one college to another. All government colleges and reputed private dental colleges follow merit based admission process. Under the merit-based admission process, seats are distributed among deserving candidates on the basis of their performance in the relevant entrance examinations.

This is how the merit-based admission process works. On the other hand, some private colleges hold a certain number of seats under the management quota. This quota is used to facilitate the donation-based or management quota admission process.

The MDS course is three years long. It stands for Master of Dental Surgery. It is a Master’s Degree course and belongs to the postgraduate level. Candidates who have passed the BDS program and are registered with the relevant State Dentistry Council/Board are eligible to pursue an MDS course.
