Do you want to secure admission into a good BMLT college? Do you want to know more about the admission process? If yes, here is everything you need to know about it –

BMLT Admission

The BMLT admission process may vary from one college to another. In order to get into a government college or good private college, you must crack a relevant merit-based selection process.

What’s the merit-based selection process all about, some of you may ask. Under a merit-based admission process, seats are distributed among deserving candidates on the basis of their position/rank in a merit list.

How is this merit list formed, some of you may ask. Relevant entrance exams or selection tests are conducted to gauge or evaluate the applicants. Later, the merit list is formed on the basis of candidates’ performance in the selection test/entrance exam and/or board examination.

Seats are distributed among deserving and eligible candidates on the basis of their rank or position in the merit list. However, the admission process may vary from one college to another. Other modes of admission include – direct admission and merit-based admission process.

Under the direct admission process, vacant seats are distributed among applicants on a first-come, first-served basis. Donation-based admission process deals with management-quota seats.

Fees

Tuition fees vary from one college to another. It depends upon factors such as – type of college (government or private), scholarship status of the applicant, rating of the college, etc. Government nursing colleges provide subsidized education to its students. On the other hand, private nursing colleges are known to charge (relatively) higher tuition fees. On average, private nursing colleges may charge anywhere between 6-80K INR per year.

It is an undergraduate-level paramedical course. It is a Bachelor’s Degree course. As the name suggests, this paramedical course deals with the domain of medical lab technology. What is medical lab technology all about, some of you may ask.

Medical labs form an integral part of the healthcare sector. At a medical lab, tests are carried out, which helps with the diagnosis of diseases and conditions in patients. For example, a blood test will help determine the disease that a patient is suffering from (malaria, dengue, typhoid etc).

A Physician is capable of diagnosing a medical condition or disease by observing symptoms shown by the patient. In many cases, just physical observation is not enough to arrive at a conclusion! In such cases, further medical tests are carried out to determine the exact reason responsible for the patient’s condition.

This is where medical labs come in handy! In a medical lab, relevant samples (urine, saliva, blood etc) are collected, prepared, stored, and tested. Lab tests show the exact disease/condition that the patient is suffering from.
