BASLP Admission in India

BASLP admission process may vary from one college to another. The admission process depends upon the type of college (government or private). Government colleges and reputed private BASLP colleges rely on merit-based admission processes.

Under the merit-based admission process, seats are distributed among deserving and eligible candidates on the basis of their performance in relevant entrance exams and board examinations. In short, relevant entrance exams are carried out to facilitate the merit-based admission process.   On the other hand, few private colleges are known to carry out direct as well as donation-based admission processes. In case of direct admission, seats are distributed among deserving candidates on the basis of a first come, first served policy. And donation-based admission process comes under the management quota of admission.

BASLP Course Details

BASLP stands for Bachelor of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology. Let us check out the basic details about this course –

• Academic level: UG (undergraduate)
• Duration: 4 years (8 semesters)
• Educational qualification required: Candidate must have passed 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics/Computer Science/Statistics/Electronics/Psychology subjects
• Age limit: Candidate must be at least 17 years or more at the time of admission or enrollment
• Lateral entry admission: Candidates who have passed 12th standard with the Science subjects mentioned above and further completed the DHLS (Diploma in Hearing Language Speech) course are eligible to secure lateral entry into 2nd year of the BASLP program. The candidate must also have 2 years of work experience to secure lateral entry.
