When it comes to a career in the Indian Coast Guard, there are two main types of entries- Officer Entry and Sailor Entry. Talking about Yantrik post, here are the details regarding how one may join the Indian Coast Guard as a Yantrik. Diploma holders are eligible to apply for this post and after selection, the main task of a Yantrik will be to maintain and operate machinery belonging to Indian Coast Guard’s ships and aircraft.

 

Then comes the Navik (General Duty) post. Here are details regarding how one may join Indian Coast Guard as a Navik (General Duty). 12th Science stream students are eligible to apply for this post and after selection, they may specialize in disciplines such as- communication, mechanical, electrical, seaman and aviation!

 

Finally, there is the Navik (Domestic Branch) post. Check out how one may join Indian Coast Guard as a Navik (Domestic Branch). Students who have cleared matriculation examination are eligible to apply for this post. After selection, they may take up jobs of cooks and stewards.
