Gujaratis have always been known to have more interest in business rather than going for white collar jobs. But as of now, things have changed much in Gujarat state! People are giving more and more importance towards technical and professional courses and are looking towards landing well paying white collar jobs! They are also now keen in landing Government jobs that offers good stable income as well as a sense of job security. In this article, I will list some Government jobs and their elated entrance tests that B. Com. Students are eligible to apply for. Normally, getting a Government job is not a very easy task. But the Government job posts mentioned in the article are relatively easy to land. I mean, with preparation, it is easy for B. Com. Graduates to crack the selection tests of the below mentioned Government jobs.
The main problem that B. Com. Graduates and students from Gujarat state face is that they are not well aware of the various Government job posts that they are eligible to apply for. They are also not aware about the selection processes associated with different Government departments and job posts within them! I think this article, to a great extent, will help B. Com. Government job posts that B. Com. Graduates in Gujarat may apply for
UPSC Civil Services Exam- it is a Central Government held test. Still, B. Com. Graduates are eligible to apply for various tests held by UPSC. On clearing such entrance tests, they may land a good job in the respective department that conducted the test
IBPS exam for Bank PO or Clerk
GPSC Grade 1 and Grade 2 Officer’s selection exam
UPSC Central Police Force, Assistant Commandant examination
SSC Central Police Force Inspector exam
Various posts in Indian Railways. This can be dealt with by appearing for exams held by the Railway Recruitment Board
LIC/GIC-AAO/Assistant examination
Apart from the above mentioned Government jobs, B. Com. Graduates are also eligible to appear for tests associated with more Central as well as State Government job posts. But the above mentioned ones can be easily dealt with. It is always better to select few posts, target their entrance/selection exam and prepare well for them! All the best!
