JAM 2023 Prep

An early start is always a best strategy to prepare and make through an exam like IIT JAM. Every candidate needs some preparation tips and strategy plan to make their best during exam hours. This section contains some of the important tips that all the applicant should must look after:

Reference Books

Reference books are important to understand the theory concept, as many of the questions comes from the middle of the topic. These books help to understand the complicated theories in an easy way and thus making you capable of solving the twisted problems. Some of the reference books for JAM preparation is listed in the last section.

Practice Previous Year Paper

It is the practice that makes you perfect, and by practicing previous year IIT JAM paper will make you familiar with the hot topics, the difficulty of the question, and marking scheme. These paper can increase the speed of a candidate to solve a particular type of problem.

Mock Tests

Mock tests are best to boost your confidence and increase your problem-solving ability by practicing a similar set of questions multiple times. These tests will help a candidate to understand the time strategy and build effective time management to solve problems quickly. Mock tests or online tests also help to find the strong and weak section of a candidate and improve himself before the exam.

Plan Preparation Strategy

A candidate needs to plan a preparation strategy for JAM based on a short term or long-term basis. An effective plan boosts self – confidence and releases any doubt regarding preparation. Since JAM is far away, so it is preferred to plan a long-term strategy for preparation. It is also needed to relax a night before the exam to be stress-free and give your best on the next day.

Join a Coaching Institute

If you are unsure of your success in JAM, then you can join any coaching institute in your area to help you guide through your preparation. Every coaching who prepare students for IIT JAM paper provides the practice material which is according to the syllabus of the exam.

If offline coaching is the inconvenient option for you, then you can also go for online coaching services which guides their students through video-chat platforms such as Skype and another medium.

JAM 2023 ADMIT CARD

The admit card of IIT JAM exam will be issued on the official website of JOAPS on the first week of January of 2023. The candidate needs to log in the JOAPS to download the admit card. Admit card is the entry ticket for the exam hall and you must not forget to bring its print out on the day of an exam. The JOAPS has mentioned it that admit card will not be posted to any candidate via post/email or through any other methods.

Along with it, a photo id proof is also recommended at the exam center for the face identification. The valid photo id proofs are Aadhaar Card, Voter ID Card, the front page of passport, school/college ID, etc. The admit card of JAM contains essential identification information such as name, registration number, subject code, photograph, signature, etc. So, this can be used after the exam as it can also be treated as a proof of identity. In short, this admit card should be kept safe until the end of the admission process to be on the safe side.

JAM 2023 RESULTS

Candidate can check their result from the online website of JOAPS in the 3rd week of March 2023. A candidate can check their score, rank, and merit list from the official site. Every applicant is allocated an All India Rank (AIR) on the basis of performance and marks scored by them in the examination. If the score of any two candidate ties, then this issue is solved by a tiebreaker process in which the one is having a higher positive mark ratio, will get the advantage. But, if the problem persists, then both of them will be awarded the same rank. An All India merit list is prepared accordingly to scored AIR and on this basis, colleges are allocated to the candidates. The merit list is also based on the total available seats in all of the categories and the candidate’s respective subjects.

COUNSELLING PROCESS

The counselling process is organized once after the result is announced successfully. The counselling process is completely based on the merit list. Candidates can able to participate in different colleges according to their rank in the merit list.
