SRMJEEE 2023 Eligibility Criteria

In order to be considered eligible to appear for SRMJEEE, one must satisfy certain requirements. These requirements are academic and non-academic in nature. Nationality, age limit and educational qualification – these parameters form an integral part of SRMJEEE eligibility criteria. Let us check out these requirements one by one –

 

Nationality

• Indian residents and Non-Resident Indian candidates are eligible to appear for SRMJEEE.
• Candidates who possess PIO or OCI card (issued by the Govt of India) are also eligible to apply for this test.

 

Age limit

A candidate should be at least 16 years of age (as of July, 2023). Upper age limit is 21 years.

 

Educational qualification

• Minimum educational qualification required is – completed 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects from any recognized board (State, CBSE or ICSE). Candidates who have had PCB subjects in 12th class are eligible to pursue biotechnology, biomedical engineering and genetic engineering programs.
• Candidates appearing for 12th board final exam are also eligible to apply for this test. They must be able to provide proof of passing the exam at the time of admission.
• Candidates who possess International Baccalaureate (IB) with Diploma or an A-Level qualification (in PCM/B/Biotech/Bio & Zoology subjects) from an international school are eligible to apply for this test.

Step by step online registration process

1. Visit the official website of SRM university and go to the application section (applications.srmist.edu.in).
2. Register for SRMJEEE 2023 by entering basic information such as – name, email address and contact number.
3. After registering successfully, a candidate will obtain an email from SRM University on their registered email address. Click in the verification link in the email and activate your account.
4. After successfully activating your account, login again (using your credentials) and fill up the application form.
5. Enter necessary information such as – name of the candidate, gender, date of birth, address, percentage obtained in 10th, exam center etc.
6. Upload scanned images of candidate’s passport size photograph and signature specimen.
7. Pay the application fee online through debit/credit card or net banking.
8. Take printout of the form and keep it for future use and reference.

 

Step by step offline registration process

1. Obtain the application form online or from SRMIST.
2. Fill up the application form using black ball point pen. Use HB pencil to highlight certain areas/choices on the OMR sheet.
3. Keep the application form neat and clean.
4. Paste your latest passport size photograph on the space provided in the form.
5. Fill up the entire form. Keep a copy of the form for future reference. The original form has to be sent to relevant address (discussed ahead).
6. Draw a DD of 1160 INR in favor of SRMIST, payable at Chennai.
7. Write your name and address on the back side of the DD.
8. Enclose the DD and application form in an envelope and send it to the address provided below –

SRMJEEE 2023 Syllabus and Exam Pattern

SRMJEEE syllabus can be divided into 5 sections. These sections include –

• Physics: Gravitation, units and measurements, mechanics, mechanics of solids and fluids, electrostatics, current electricity, magnetism, electromagnetic induction, electromagnetic waves, Alternating Current, optics, radiation, atomic structure, nuclear physics etc.
• Chemistry: Chemical kinetics, electrochemistry, solutions, surface chemistry, isolation of elements, coordination compounds, alcohols, phenols & ethers, biomolecules, polymers etc.
• Mathematics: Quadratic equations, sets, quadratic equations, matrices, determinants, algebra, differential calculus, integral calculus, geometry, vector algebra, statistics, probability, trigonometry etc.

SRMJEEE 2023 Counseling & Admission Process

Result declaration kicks-off the whole counseling and admission process. Seats are distributed among deserving candidates on the basis of their performance in merit list. Here are the steps involved in counseling process –

• Report for the counseling process: Candidates are called to report for counseling at specific centers. Candidates are called on the basis of their rank in the rank list.
• Document verification: Candidates who report for counseling have to provide certain documents to help verify their identity and academic qualifications. Documents are verified by authorities at the counseling center.
• Final seat allotment: After seat verification and payment of counseling fee, candidates are allotted seats.
• Vacant seats will be filled up through second round of counseling process.
• Candidates who were called to report for counseling but couldn’t make it to the center may apply for online counseling.
