1 Marine Radio Assistant Grade III

  • Level: A-1.
  • Eligibility criteria: High school of class 10th equivalent board exam with the following additional requirements – Second class certificate with proficiency/competency in Marine Radio Operation recognized by the Government with GMDSS certification issued by the Ministry of Communication and one year experience on line OR Radio Telephone Operator’s Certificate of Proficiency in maritime mobile service with GMDSS certification issued by the Ministry of Communication and one year experience on line OR Diploma in Electronics/Telecom with GMDSS certification issued by the Ministry of Communication and one year experience on line.

 

2 Junior Assistant Technician (Diesel)

  • Level: A-1.
  • Eligibility criteria: High school of class 10th equivalent board examination with science subject and trade certificate in diesel mechanic trade.

 

3 Junior Assistant Technician (Electrical)

  • Level: A-1.
  • Eligibility criteria: Passed high school or class 10th equivalent board examination with science subject and trade certificate in electrician trade. Certificate of competency as electrical supervisor is required.

 

4 Junior Fire Supervisor

  • Level: A-1.
  • Eligibility criteria: Intermediate with 6 months experience in fire services. Candidate must also possess driving license for heavy vehicles.

 

5 Junior Assistant Technician (Fitting)

  • Level: A-1.

  • Eligibility criteria: Passed matriculation examination from a recognized board. Candidate must possess trade certificate in welding trade.

Eligible candidates may apply for recruitment through ONGC website. The application process can be done online! Follow these steps to register for the recruitment process –

  1. Visit the official website of ONGC.
  2. Search for registration link and click on it.
  3. Provide your email id, mobile number, personal details and register.
  4. After registration, fill up the application form.
  5. After filling it up, submit your application form.
  6. Save the confirmation page/application form.

 

Important documents/things required

Before registering, keep the following documents/things ready –

  • A valid mobile number.
  • A valid email id.
  • Scanned copy of your latest passport size photograph (jpg/jpeg, 20-50KB size).
  • Scanned copy of your signature specimen (jpg/jpeg, 10-20KB).

 

Registration fee

  • Registration fee is 370 INR for general and OBC candidates. SC/ST/PwD/Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted to pay registration fee.
  • A candidate may pay registration form via challan form at any branch of SBI. The payment must be made to ONGC Power Jyoti (Account number – 30827318409), SBI, Tel Bhavan, Dehradun.

 

Eligibility Criteria

Assistant rigman (drilling) A-2 level:

  • Minimum height: 167 cm for general and obc candidates, 162 cm for SC/ST candidates.
  • Minimum weight: 58 kg for general and obc candidates, 50 kg for SC/ST candidates.
  • Chest (unexpanded): 81 cm for general and obc candidates, 79 cm for SC/ST candidates.
  • Vision: 6/6 without glasses. There should be no history of night/color blindness.

 

Jr Fire supervisor, Jr Security supervisor, Junior fireman and Security supervisor (male candidates)

  • Minimum height: 168 cm for all categories, 160 cm for tribes/hillman from Assam and 163 cm for tribes/hillman.
  • Chest (unexpanded): 81 cm for all categories, 81 cm for tribes/hillman and 79 cm for tribes/hillman from Assam.

 

Jr Fire supervisor, Jr Security supervisor, Junior fireman and Security supervisor (female candidates)

  • Minimum height: 152 cm for all categories and 147 cm for tribes/hillman.
  • Weight: Should be proportionate to your height. Minimum weight required is 46 kg.

Selection process

The selection process consists of two stages –

  1. CBT (Computer Based Test)
  2. Skill test

 

CBT

CBT stands for Computer Based Test. This test forms the first stage of selection process. Candidates who clear CBT are made to undergo the skill test.

 

Let us take a closer look at the highlights of CBT –

  • Language of test: English and hindi.
  • Type of questions: MCQs.
  • Duration: 2 hours (40 minutes extra for PwD candidates).
  • Negative marking: No.
  • Number of questions: 100.

 

Subjects: Subject or domain-specific subjects, interpersonal skills, logical reasoning, analytical reasoning, comprehension ability, data interpretation, general awareness etc.

 

Skill Test

The skill test shall be conducted for certain posts only. Only candidates who clear CBT are subjected to undergo this test. Skill test is used to gauge skill-set of physical fitness of the candidate. Depending upon the type of job, skill test contains the following exams – physical test, driving test, physical efficiency test or typing test.
