NDA is a national level entrance examination. The UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) conducts this test each year. This test is conducted twice in a year (NDA I and NDA II).

 

The main aim of this test is to facilitate selection of eligible candidates into NDA, Pune. NDA stands for National Defence Academy.

 

It is a joint services academy of the Indian Armed Forces. At the NDA, cadets of the three services (Indian Army, Indian Navy and the India Air Force) train together. After completing 3 years of training at the NDA, they are sent to their respective service academies (example – IMA for the Indian Army cadets).

NDA 2022 Application: How to fill the form?

NDA application process consists of the following stages –

  • Registration (part 1 and part 2)
  • Payment of application fee
  • Center selection
  • Uploading relevant documents

NDA 2022 Registration (Part 1)

  1. Visit the official website of UPSC (upsc.gov.in).
  2. Click on ‘apply online’ link on the right-hand side of the website.
  3. Click on ‘online application for various examinations’ link.
  4. Click on ‘online applications for various examinations of UPSC’ link.
  5. Click on ‘Part 1’ registration link of NDA examination.
  6. Go through the set of instructions and click on ‘Yes’ button.
  7. Fill up the part 1 registration form by entering the following details – Personal details, academic details, address and contact details.
  8. Click on ‘continue’ button.
  9. Choose the type of ID card.
  10. Enter the ID card number.
  11. Enter examination preferences.
  12. Click on ‘continue’ button.
  13. Preview your registration form. Watch out for mistakes and correct them.
  14. Enter the captcha code/security pin and click on ‘I agree’ button.
  15. Part 1 registration process is complete. You may take take printout of the slip.
  16. You’ll also receive a confirmation message via email on your registered email id.

NDA 2022 Registration (Part 2)

  1. After finishing part 1 registration, click on ‘click here for part 2 registration’ link.
  2. Enter your registration number (from part 1), date of birth and captcha code.
  3. Click on ‘submit’ button.
  4. Choose preferred mode of payment.
  5. Pay the application fee.
  6. Take printout of/save payment receipt for further reference/use.
  7. Enter your choice of exam center.
  8. Click on ‘submit’ button.
  9. Upload scanned documents (photograph, signature and ID card).
  10. Click on ‘upload image’ button.
  11. Enter your photo ID number.
  12. Go through the declaration text and accept it by clicking on ‘I agree’ button.
  13. You’ll receive ‘success’ message on screen.
  14. Click on ‘view/print’ application form link and take printout of application form.

  • Personal information: Name of the candidate, gender, date of birth, father’s name, mother’s name, nationality, marital status, community etc.

  • Photo ID details: Type of photo ID and photo ID number

  • NDA application fee is 100 INR.
  • SC/ST candidates are exempted from fee payment.
  • Wards of JCOs/NCOs/ORs are exempted from fee payment.

  • Scanned documents (photograph, signature and photo ID card)

While filling up the application form, a candidate is supposed to upload the following documents –

  • Upload your latest passport size photograph.

  • Sign using black or blue inked pen only.
  • Don’t upload password protected document.
