Canara Bank is a Government run Bank. It is known for its good customer service. We have already written an article about the missed call balance enquiry service run by this bank. In this article, we have brought before you a news update regarding the bank.
Canara Bank has changed their minimum account balance criteria. Minimum balance is the lowest amount of money that a Bank customer must always have in his her account. If an account goes below this limit for more than a certain amount of time, it will invite a minimum balance penalty!
According to the revised amounts, in case of rural area Canara Bank accounts, the minimum account balance (monthly) is 500 Rupees. In case of other areas, the amount is 1000 Rupees!

If you are a Canara Bank account holder, please take note of these changes. Maintain monthly balance in your account well above the minimum threshold and avoid inviting penalty!
