MHT CET is a state level entrance exam. The main aim of this test is to facilitate admission of candidates into state (Maharashtra) colleges for UG level courses (engg, pharmacy, agriculture etc).

MHT CET is known to facilitate admission into different types of UG level programs – Engineering, Pharmacy, Agriculture etc. Eligibility criteria may vary from one academic program to another! CET Cell, Maharashtra is known to entertain application forms from eligible candidates only!

MHT CET 2021 Eligibility Criteria
In order to be considered eligible to apply for MHT CET, one must meet certain conditions set forth by the CET Cell, Maharashtra. These conditions are both academic and non-academic in nature. Age limit, educational qualification and nationality – these factors form an important part of eligibility criteria.

No age limit.
Nationality & domicile
- Indian nationals are eligible to apply for this test.
- Candidates must also possess birth certificate/domicile certificate/residential certificate provided by the Government of Maharashtra.
- Non-Maharashtra candidates too are eligible to apply for this test.
Educational qualification for engineering admission
- Minimum educational qualification required is – completed 12th Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects from a recognized board.
- Minimum aggregate marks required is – 50% (45% for SC/ST candidates).
Educational qualification for pharmacy admission
- Minimum educational qualification required is – completed 12th Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology subjects from a recognized board.
- Minimum aggregate marks required is – 45% (40% for SC/ST candidates).
- Candidates appearing for 12th board final examination are also eligible to apply for this test. They must be able to provide proof of passing the exam at the time of admission. All India level candidates may use JEE main score to securing admission into Maharashtra state colleges.

Step by step registration process
- Visit the official website of MHT CET.
- Search for MHT CET registration link and click on it.
- Register as a new user by entering your email id, name, mobile number etc.
- On successfully completing registration, you will obtain login credentials via email or SMS.
- Use your credentials and login to official website of MHT CET.
- Search for MHT CET application form.
- Fill up the application form by entering details such as – personal details, academic details, category details etc.
- Upload scanned image of candidate’s passport size photograph and signature specimen. Scanned images must adhere to the guidelines set by the authorities.
- Upload your photo id.
- Pay the application fee. Candidates may pay it online (credit/debit cards, net banking UPI etc).
- Print the application form for further use and reference.

Highlights of MHT CET syllabus –
- MHT CET consists of three papers – Paper 1 (Mathematics), Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry) & Paper 3 (Biology).
- Questions will be based on Maharashtra state board syllabus.
- MCQ type questions will be asked in the paper.
- 20% weightage will be give to 11th class curriculum and 80% weightage will be given to class 12th curriculum.
- Engineering admission aspirants may face papers 1 and 2. Pharmacy admission aspirants may face Paper 2 and Paper 1/3.

- Mathematics: Trigonometric functions, trigonometric functions of compound angles, factorization, straight line, circle, conics, sets, relations, functions, probability, sequence, series, integral calculus, differential calculus etc.
- Physics: Units and measurement, scalars and vectors, force, work and energy, friction, refraction of light, optics, electric current, electromagnetic induction, magnetism etc.
- Chemistry: States of matter, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, redox reaction, surface chemistry, chemical bonds, hydrogen, s-Block elements, alcohols, ethers and phenols etc.
- Biology (Botany): Diversity in organisms, cell structure, biochemistry, plant physiology, mineral nutrition, plant growth and development etc.
- Biology (Zoology): Cell structure, animal tissues, human physiology, human nutrition, human respiration, reproduction etc.

MHT CET 2021 Admit Card
MHT CET admit card contains the following details –
- Name of the candidate
- Names of guardians
- Date of Birth
- Date and time of exam
- Exam center
- Roll number
- Subjects chosen by the candidate
- General instructions
- And more…
Candidates must bring their admit card to the exam center. Without valid admit card, they won’t be allowed to enter the exam hall.
Obtaining the admit card is quite easy. It is usually released online. Candidates may obtain their admit card online by following these steps –
- Visit the official website of MHT CET.
- Search for admit card link and click it.
- Login by entering relevant credentials.
- Get your admit card on the screen.
- Download it and take printout for further use/reference.
While going to appear for the exam, candidates must carry their admit card and a valid id proof. Without these documents, they won’t be allowed to appear for the exam. Valid id proof could be one of the following documents – PAN card, driving license, voter id, Aadhaar card, Passport, ID card issued by school of college (recent), photo id proof issued by a Gazetted Officer etc.
MHT CET 2021 Result
CET Cell, Maharashtra is usually known to declare result on 1st week of June each year. Result is usually declared on their official website. Candidates may follow these steps to check their result –
- Visit the official website of MHT CET.
- Once the result is announced, you will find the official ‘result’ link on their website. Click it.
- Enter your roll number and click ‘search’.
- Result will be declared on screen.
- You may download your result and take printout for further use.
Result declaration initiates counseling process. Based on the cutoff marks, candidates are deemed eligible for counseling and admission.
MHT CET 2021 Counseling & Admission
Cutoff marks declared by the CET Cell determines whether a candidate is eligible for admission or not! Eligible candidates may take part in online counseling process. The entire counseling process can be divided into three rounds.
