MAT is a national level entrance exam. It is a management entrance exam. The main aim of this course is to facilitate admission into PG level management programs such as – MBA and PGDM programs.

 

MAT score is valid for a period of one year. Bachelor’s Degree holders interested in PG education will benefit from this course. This entrance test will help them bag an MBA or PGDM seat in prestigious B-schools across India.

This examination is held 4 times in a year. AIMA will entertain applications from eligible candidates only. Thus, before applying for this test, one must make sure that he/she is eligible to apply for this test.

MAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria

In order to be considered eligible to appear for MAT, one must fulfill certain conditions set forth by AIMA. These conditions are both academic and non-academic in nature.

 

Academic requirements comprises of aspects such as – educational qualification and minimum aggregate marks. Non-academic requirements consists of aspects such as – age limit and nationality.

Educational qualification

  • Minimum educational qualification required is – completed Bachelor’s Degree course (any discipline) from a recognized college/university.
  • Candidates studying in final year of graduation program are also eligible to apply for this test. They must be able to provide proof of course-completion at the time of admission.
  • Candidates who have completed CS, CA, ICWA or equivalent professional course are eligible to apply for this test.

No prior work experience required.

MAT 2021 Application Process

Registering for MAT is quite easy. Candidates may apply for this test online. Let us check out important dates related to application process –

MAT test is conducted in two modes – offline and online. Offline mode is the usual pen and paper based test. It is well known as PBT test. Online test is a computer based test. It is well known as CBT.

 

A candidate must choose his/her preferred mode of test. He/she may even apply for both modes!

 

How shall I apply, some of you may ask. Come, let us check out the step by step process –

 

Step by step registration process

  1. Visit the official website of AIMA.
  2. Search for register button and click on it.
  3. Register on the portal by entering basic details such as – name, email id and mobile number.
  4. After entering basic details, click on submit button.
  5. An OTP will be sent to your email id and phone number. Obtain the OTP and enter it on the website.
  6. After entering the OTP, click on ‘Verify and submit’ button.
  7. After verification is done, you will obtain your login credentials via email.
  8. You’ve become a registered member now. Access the website of AIMA and login using your credentials.
  9. Enter your personal and academic details in the application form.
  10. Choose your preferred mode of exam (CBT or PBT).
  11. Choose your preferred management institutes.
  12. Upload scanned images of your passport size photograph and signature specimen.
  13. Pay application fee. Candidates may pay online using credit/debit cards, net banking, UPI or payment gateways. One may even choose to pay offline (via DD).
  14. Check your application form. Make sure that it is filled correctly. Candidates may edit the form and make changes wherever required.
  15. After checking the form, click on save button and submit it.
  16. View your application form and take printout for future reference/use.

Candidates may pay application fee online or offline. They may pay it online through debit/credit cards, net banking, UPI or payment gateways.

 

When it comes to offline payment, they may draw a Demand Draft in favor of AIMA (All India Management Association), payable at Delhi. The DD should be sent to the below mentioned address (before the form submission deadline) –

Documents required

While filling up the application form, a candidate must provide personal and academic information. He/she must also upload relevant scanned documents. In order to speed-up this process, a candidate may keep the following documents with him/her while registering for MAT –

  • Scanned image of latest passport size photo.
  • Scanned image of signature.
  • Academic certificates.

MAT admit card contains the following important details –

Admit card is an important document. Without a valid admit card, you won’t be allowed inside the exam center. In short, you must carry your admit card to the exam center.

 

AIMA is known to release MAT admit card online. Candidates may obtain their admit card by following these steps –

  1. Visit the official website of MAT.
  2. Enter relevant credentials and login.
  3. Once the admit card is released by AIMA, you will see it on screen after logging in.
  4. Download the admit card.
  5. Take printout for further use and reference.

 

MAT 2021 Result

AIMA is known to release MAT result online. Users may keep an eye on the official website of AIMS to check their result.

Once AIMA declares MAT result, the whole admission process kicks into action! Once the scorecard is released, various B-schools that accept MAT score will announce their cutoff score.
