This is the third article on Apnahangout, which is related to Indian Coast Guard. Continuing with the same topic, in this article, I will be dealing with the process of joining Indian Coast Guard’s Law Branch. As usual, I will cover important details like- post details, eligibility criteria, age limit, educational qualifications required, medical standards, selection procedure etc.
First of all, let us check out the post details and the entry mode-
Assistant Commandant (Law): Post details
This is an Officer Entry post. Both male and female candidates are eligible to apply for this post. The general post name is- Assistant Commandant. Selected candidates will become part of Indian Coast Guard’s Law Branch.
Age limit
The general age limit is between 21-30 years. In case of Government Employees, age relaxation of 5 years is also present.
Educational qualifications required
Since it is the Law branch that we are dealing with, the minimum Educational qualification required is a Law (LLB) Degree. Having PG Degree in Law and experience in International Law/Maritime Law will be an added advantage.
Medical standards
Minimum height for male candidates- 157 cm. Minimum height for female candidates- 152 cm. Candidate’s weight should be in proportion to height. Eyesight requirements- 6/6 and 6/12 (with glass), 6/60 (without glass). Chest should be well proportionate, with minimum expansion of 5 cm.
