IIFT is a national level competitive examination. In simple terms, it is an MBA entrance exam! This test is conducted by the NTA. The NTA conducts this exam once in a year.
Earlier, this test was organized and conducted by the IIFT (Deemed University). As of now, the NTA is responsible for organizing this test.

IIFT 2023 Eligibility Criteria
In order to be considered eligible to apply for IIFT test, a candidate must satisfy certain conditions/requirements. He/she must meet some academic and non-academic conditions set by the NTA.
Educational qualification, marks secured, grade – these factors form academic requirements. Nationality, age limit, work experience – these are common non-academic factors. Come, let us take a closer look at these factors –
IIFT Age Limit
There is no age limit when it comes to IIFT examination.
Nationality
Indian nationals are eligible to apply for this test. Foreign nationals must produce a valid GMAT score for securing admission into IIFT MBA (IB) program.
Educational qualification
- Minimum educational qualification required is – completed Bachelor’s Degree course (at least 3 years long program) from a recognized college/university.
- Minimum aggregate marks required is – 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD candidates).
- Candidates appearing/studying in final semester/year of Bachelor’s Degree course are also eligible to apply. However, they must be able to submit proof of completing the course (at the time of admission) though.

Step by step registration process
- Visit the official website of IIFT (iift.nta.ac.in).
- Select ‘IIFT’ in application form option and click on ‘new registration’ button.
- Fill up the registration form and submit it.
- You’ll find application number on screen.
- Sign in with your credentials and access IIFT application form.
- Fill up the application form by entering the following details – personal details, academic details, preferences etc.
- Submit the application form.
- Click on ‘proceed for payment’ button.
- Choose preferred mode of payment and pay the application fee.
- Save your application form/confirmation page and take its printout for further use/reference.

IIFT 2023 Syllabus & Exam Pattern
IIFT syllabus consists of the following sections – Logical reasoning, general knowledge and current affairs, English language and grammar, data interpretation, vocabulary and reading comprehension & quantitative analysis.

Number of questions and marks distribution
Total number of question is not fixed! It varies from one question paper to another. But the total marks remains the same though – 100 marks. Section-wise marks distribution too may vary from one question paper to another. In other words, it is not fixed. So listing marks distribution and number of questions here won’t make any sense.

IIFT 2023 Selection and Admission
After result declaration, authorities will publish a list of shortlisted candidates. Shortlisted candidates are supposed to undergo further tests. It is only after completing further tests that they are allotted seats.
