GNM: GNM stands for General Nursing and Midwifery. It is a diploma certificate program. It is a nursing education program. This program has been crafted keeping the needs of 12th-passed candidates in mind. The course is 3.5 years long. Students who have passed 12th science with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology subjects are eligible to pursue this course. Eligibility criteria may vary slightly from one college to another.
B.Sc. Nursing: Candidates who have passed 12th Science with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology subjects are eligible to pursue this course. The course duration is four years. The program deals with various aspects of healthcare, medical ethics, and nursing practices. The program trains students and turns them into skilled nurses! After completing this course, candidates may register with the relevant State Nursing Council and don the title of ‘RN’. RN stands for Registered Nurse.
Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing: Post Basic B.Sc. The nursing program is just 2 years long. Candidates who have passed the GNM course from a recognized institute are eligible to pursue this course. The academic program deals with topics such as – medical ethics, communication skills, human anatomy and physiology, biochemistry, surgical nursing, nutrition, pharmacology, mental health nursing, etc.
M.Sc. Nursing: M.Sc. stands for Master of Science. It is a Master’s Degree course. M.Sc. The nursing program belongs to PG academic level. PG stands for postgraduate level. The academic program is two years long. Candidates who have passed B.Sc. Nursing courses are eligible to pursue M.Sc. Nursing course.
