Admission process

In order to secure admission into Govt and reputed engineering colleges, one must crack the relevant engineering entrance exam. Engineering entrance exams are conducted at State, National, and College levels. Govt and merit seats are allotted to candidates on the basis of their position in the merit list. Some colleges are also known to conduct direct and donation-based admission processes.

B.E. or B.Tech.: B.E. stands for Bachelor of Engineering and B.Tech. stands for Bachelor of Technology. It is an undergraduate level Bachelor’s Degree course. The academic program is 4 years long. The minimum educational qualification required to apply for admission is – completed 12th Science (with specific subjects) from a recognized board.

M.E. or M.Tech.: M.E. stands for Master of Engineering and M.Tech. stands for Master of Technology. It is a Master’s Degree course. The academic program is 2 years long. Students who have completed relevant B.E. or B.Tech. program are eligible to apply for admission.

Engineers have access to different types of job opportunities. They have access to Government jobs as well as private sector jobs. Depending upon the branch and area of specialization, engineers may also go for self-employment.
