Course details

BA in Animation and Visual Effects is also known by the name of Animation and VFX. It is an undergraduate level Bachelor of Arts Degree program.

The course is 3 years long. It consists of 3 academic years. Each academic year is divided into two semesters, with each semester lasting for a period of 6 months. The academic program consists of classroom lectures and practical training. Studio and practical training are given much importance, thanks to the nature of the course.

The course focuses on theoretical and practical areas of multimedia. It covers topics such as multimedia, animation and VFX.

Evaluation is done at the end of each semester. Evaluation is done through written examination as well as practical test.

Eligibility criteria

10+2 passed in any stream (Science, Commerce or Arts) is the minimum educational qualification required. Minimum marks criteria may exist in case of many institutes (around 50% aggregate marks).

Admission process

Some institutes follow the ‘direct admission’ process. Other institutes follow merit based admission process (based on merit marks in board exam and/or relevant entrance test). Few institutes are also known to have their own screening test and interview, when it comes to admission process.
