B.Sc. Nursing Admission in Assam 2022

Admission process varies from one college to another. Broadly speaking, good colleges follow merit based admission process. When it comes to merit based admission process, relevant entrance or competitive exams are conducted to facilitate the admission process.

 

These entrance exams are conducted to gauge and evaluate the academic proficiency and aptitude of applicants. Based on their performance in the exam, a merit list is formed. Depending upon their position or rank in this list, seats are distributed among deserving candidates!

 

However, admission process may vary from one college to another. Many colleges are known to have specific number of seats reserved under the management-quota. These seats are meant for donation based admission process.

B.Sc. Nursing is the most popular nursing education program in Assam. B.Sc. stands for Bachelor of Science. In simple terms, it is a Bachelor’s Degree course. The program belongs to UG (undergraduate) academic level.

 

Candidates who have passed 12th Science with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects are eligible to pursue this course. The course duration is four years.

 

The program deals with various aspects of healthcare, medical ethics and nursing practices. The program trains students and turns them into skilled nurses! After completing this course, a candidates may register with relevant State Nursing Council and don the title of ‘RN’. RN stands for Registered Nurse.
