Polytechnic Admission in Delhi 2022

Admission process may vary from one institute to another. It may also depend upon the type of course. Here are the two main modes of admission – through CET (Common Entrance Test) and direct admission (not through CET).

Let us talk about CET admission process. In this mode of admission, seats are distributed among deserving and eligible candidates on the basis of their performance in relevant entrance test (CET). The entrance examination is carried out to facilitate the merit based admission process.

Based on candidates’ performance in the examination, a merit list is formed. Based on this merit list, seats are distributed among deserving and eligible candidates. Apart from CET-based admission, another mode of admission is also available – direct admission. Direct admission is carried out for courses such as – Diploma in Pharmacy (after 12th), Modern Office Practice (after 12th), PTDs (Part Time Diploma courses) – after 10th with work experience, Post Diploma courses and Certificate courses.

When it comes to direct admission process, merit in the qualifying examination is taken into consideration. Based on this merit list, seats are distributed among deserving and eligible candidates.
