How to apply?

  • Visit the official website of IOCL.
  • Search for application/registration link and click on it.
  • Fill up the application form by entering the following details – email address, contact number, personal details, academic details, address etc.
  • Upload scanned copies of relevant documents such as – passport size photograph of the candidate, candidate’s signature specimen, academic certificates etc.
  • Submit the application form.
  • Take printout of the filled application form for further use/reference.

 

Application fee

  • Application fee is 150 INR for general, EWS and OBC candidates.
  • SC/ST, Ex-Servicemen and PwD candidates are exempted from paying application fee.
  • Application fee can be paid online.

 

Scanned documents required

While filling up the application form, candidates are required to upload self-attested scanned copies of the following documents –

  • Academic certificate (10th board) as proof of date of birth.
  • ITI certificate.
  • Caste certificate (if applicable).
  • Signature specimen of the candidate.
  • Latest colored passport size photograph of the candidate.

 

Eligibility criteria

 

Nationality

Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.

 

Age limit

  • Minimum age is 18 years and maximum age is 26 years for General and EWS candidates.
  • Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
  • Upper age limit is relaxed by 3 years for OBC candidates.

Selection process

The selection test consists of two stages –

  1. Written test
  2. SPPT (Skill Proficiency Physical Test).

 

Candidates who clear written test will be made to undergo further tests. A candidate must score at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD candidates) to qualify the written test.

 

Written Test

Subjects: Trade specific technical questions, general and quantitative aptitude questions, reasoning ability questions and basic English language questions.

  • Total number of questions: 100.
  • Total marks: 100.
  • Type of questions: MCQs.

 

Candidates who secure minimum qualifying marks in written test are made to undergo SPPT. The main aim of SPPT is to test trade-specific skills and knowledge of a candidate. Candidates who are declared fit in SPPT are considered for merit list preparation. Merit list is prepared on the basis of performance of candidates (declared fit in SPPT) in written test.
