SET is a college/university level entrance examination. The main aim of this test is to facilitate admission eligible candidates into Symbiosis International University for UG level education.
Symbiosis International University is known to offer different types of UG level programs. Some such popular programs include – B.Tech. (Engineering), law (BA LL.B.), design (B.Des.), management (BBA) etc.
These academic programs are being offered under different ‘schools’ or ‘institutes’ such as – SIT (Institute of Technology), School of Law, School of Design etc. Based on the UG programs offered, SET (Symbiosis Entrance Test) can be classified into four exams –

SET 2023 Eligibility Criteria
In order to be considered eligible to appear for SET, a candidate must satisfy certain requirements. These requirements are academic and non-academic in nature. Am I eligible to take part in SET, some of you ask. Let us clear your doubts!
SITEEE Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum educational qualification required is – Passed 12th Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects from a recognized board.
- Minimum aggregate marks required is – 45% (40% for SC/ST candidates).
SLAT Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum educational qualification required is – Passed 12th standard from a recognized board.
- Minimum aggregate marks required is – 45% (40% for SC/ST candidates).
SEED Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum educational qualification required is – Passed 12th standard from a recognized board.
- Minimum aggregate marks required is – 50% (45% for SC/ST candidates).
SET BBA Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum educational qualification required is – Passed 12th standard from a recognized board.
- Minimum aggregate marks required is – 50% (45% for SC/ST candidates).
Candidates appearing for 12th board final examination are also eligible to take part in this test. However, they must be able to provide proof of passing board exam at the time of admission/counseling process.
A candidate can register for two separate tests. He/she eligible to take part in two tests (for example – both SITEEE and SET BBA). This can happen only when the said tests are being conducted in two different slots. And a candidate has to pay application fee for each test.
Nationality
- Indian nationals are eligible to take part in this entrance exam.
- NRIs, PIO and OCI card holders too are eligible to take part in this test.

Candidates may apply for SET online. Here’s the list of important dates related to SET application process –

SET application form-filling process can be broadly divided into three sections – registration, form-filling and payment of application fee. Let us take a closer look at this process –
Step by step registration process
- Visit the official website of SET (set-test.org).
- Search for ‘New registration’ link on the website and click on it.
- Fill up the registration for by entering required information (name, gender, contact number, email id etc).
- After entering basic information, click on ‘Save and continue’ button.
- Upload scanned image of your latest passport size photo.
- After uploading the photo, click on ‘Register’ button.
- On registering successfully, candidates will receive confirmation message on their email.
- After registration, candidates may start application filling process.
- Fill up the application form by entering details such as – personal information (name, age, gender etc), academic information, choice of exam center, choice of course, slot of exam etc.
- Upload scanned image of candidate’s passport size photograph and signature specimen.
- Pay application fee (online or offline).
Registering for two tests
A candidate may register for two tests (for example – SEED and SET BBA both). However, he/she must make sure that these tests are conducted in two different slots (one in morning shift and the second one in evening shift).
Application fee
- Candidates must pay a sum of 1750 INR for one test. For two tests, the amount is 3500 INR.
- Candidates may pay application fee online through credit/debit cards, net banking, internet payment gateways, UPI etc.
- When it comes to offline payment, they may pay using a Demand Draft in favor of ‘Symbiosis Test Secretariats’, payable at Pune.

- Physics: Optics, units and dimensions, electromagnetic induction, electricity, motion, work and energy, oscillations and waves, solids and fluids, thermodynamics etc.
- Chemistry: Organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, hydrogen, alcohols, ethers, phenols, chemical bonding, equilibrium, thermodynamics, kinematics, biomolecules, polymers etc.

SET BBA (General) Syllabus
SET BBA or General syllabus contains the following subjects –
- English: Grammar, verbal ability, vocabulary, synonyms & antonyms, reading comprehension etc.

- General awareness: Economics, law, current affairs, culture, business etc.

SET 2023 Admit Card
SET is known to release admit card in April each year. Candidates who have successfully applied for SET and paid application fee will be able to download their admit card online.
SET admit card is an important document. It contains important details about a candidate such as –

Candidates are supposed to bring valid admit card to SET exam center. Without valid admit card, candidate won’t be allowed to appear for the exam!

SET 2023 Result
SET is known to release its result in the month of May each year. Around this time, candidates may keep an eye on the official website of SET. Result declaration is an online process.
How can I check my result, some of you may ask. Follow these steps to check your result –
- Visit the official website of SET.
- Login using relevant credentials.
- If the result has been announced, it will appear on your screen.
- Take printout of the result for future use and reference.
SET 2023 Counseling and Admission
Result declaration sets off the whole admission process into action. Soon after result declaration, SET will release its scorecard. The university also sets cutoff based on the availability of seats and number of applicants.
The counseling process will take place at pre-determined counseling centers. Selected candidates have to attend the event in person. They are supposed to carry the following documents while going to take part in counseling process –
