B.Voc. academic program is three years long. Each academic year consists of two semesters. Each semester is six months long. The entire academic program consists of six semesters.

B.Voc. program was developed by the UGC. This program was introduced with the aim of improving vocational education quality in India.

Basically, B.Voc. is a skill development program. The course has been designed to impart sector/industry-specific skills among students. The curriculum gives importance to practical knowledge and learning.

B.Voc. program offers multiple entry and exit options. Entry options work the way lateral entry does. Entry options exist for ITI holders, Diploma holders, and professionals with relevant work experience.

B.Voc. students have access to multiple entry options. They may quit the program after one year and obtain a Diploma certificate. They may choose to quit the program after two years and obtain an Advanced Diploma certificate.
